真夏の地中海での海水浴。ニース市街地から歩いて30~40分程にある隠れたビーチなので、観光客の姿は少なく地域のみなさんから愛されているビーチだそうです。この辺りはぺブルと呼ばれる小石のビーチなので、砂地と異なり水が濁らないので、透明度も高く私達のお気に入りのビーチとなっています。この日もローカルのお店でピザを買って来て、此処で泳いだり食べたり寝転んだりとゆっくり過ごしました。最近ではインスタ映えすると若い人達が岩の上まで登っていますが、近所の中学生なのか、肝試しの様に高台からジャンプする姿も。
 
キラキラした真夏の海を表現したかったので、油彩で描き上げた後にレジンで波の表面を作りました。見る方向が変わるとキラキラと映し出される海をお部屋で堪能できる工夫が施されています。ビデオをご参照頂けるとより分かりやすいと思います。
 
Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea in midsummer. This is a hidden beach about 30-40 minutes walk from the city of Nice, so there are few tourists and it is a beach loved by the locals. This area is a pebble beach, so unlike sand, the water is not muddy and is highly transparent, making it our favorite beach. On this day, we bought pizza at a local shop and spent a relaxing time here, swimming, eating, and lying down. Recently, young people have been climbing up to the top of the rocks to take Instagram-worthy photos, but there are also some junior high school students from the neighborhood who are jumping from high places as if they are testing their courage.
I wanted to express the sparkling midsummer sea, so after painting it with oil paint, I created the surface of the waves with resin. It has been designed so that you can enjoy the sparkling sea reflected in your room when you change the direction you look at it. Please refer to the video to make it easier to understand.
