This work is part of a vanitas-themed series and is based on a sculpture of the demon's wife, who is defeated by the story's hero. Left behind, her expression is unreadable. Is it a sign of tragedy and loss, or liberation? Interpretation is left to the viewer.
This work is a digital painting, but it is also semi-three-dimensional. The special print has a textured appearance created by UV lamination and a glossy finish created by clear printing, resulting in a digital work with a complex texture.
